UHELP has brought together more than 15 partners. These include Peoples Settlement Association (PSA), Delaware's leading community service organization providing continuous programs and services for the community of Wilmington for over a century (a UHELP founder); the Center for Energy and Environmental Policy (CEEP) of the University of Delaware, a research and graduate education center with over 20 years of involvement in Wilmington's environmental and community issues (also a UHELP founder); and the Tau Eta Chapter (Tau Eta) of Chi Eta Phi Sorority, Inc., a national society of registered nurses and nursing students dedicated to improving health services in underserved communities.

Tau Eta Chapter of Chi Eta Phi (registered nurses association)

About Tau Eta: In collaboration with the American Heart Association and Delaware Stroke Initiative the chapter performs Heart and Stroke Assessment in the community. The goal of the collaboration is to assist these organizations in providing screening and education in high risk populations. AIDS Delaware and Tau Eta chapter are partnering to provide HIV testing and education in the high risk population in the City of Wilmington. Tau Eta chapter will be providing testing and education weekly at a designated site.The chapter received a grant from the Delaware Health and Human Services Diabetes Prevention program to imiplement diabetes educational workshops to seniors age 65-90. The program includes physiology of diabetes, foot care, eye exams, lipid screening, and nutrition.
