OEJ provides a central point for the Agency to address environmental and human health concerns in minority communities and/or low-income communities--a segment of the population which has been disproportionately exposed to environmental harms and risks. Center for Public Environmental Oversight (CPEO)

Atlantic County Utilities Authority  This is the website for a quasi-public recycling entity in Atlantic County, NJ, structured similarly to the Delaware Solid Waste Authority (DSWA), which has helped the surrounding community accomplish a 56% recycling rate. Under the DSWA Delaware recycles about 4% of  residential solid waste. 

 

Blue Mountain Recycling   A material recycling facility in Philadelphia that is helping the City of Wilmington process recycled materials in its curbside recycling program.

Recyclebank    Incentives based Recyling company, that pays you to recycle and is helping the City of Wilmington offer free curbside recycling.  

Used Recycle Net   Find an online list of businesses and manufacturers that buy, selll, and trade used items.

Habitat for Humanity ReStore  A Wilmington non-profit business venture supporting the community through the resale of new and used home improvement and renovation supplies.  The Habitat ReStore specializes in the resale of overstocked, discontinued, “new” and used merchandise, donated by manufacturers, stores, contractors and individuals.  These items are then sold, to the general public, at a discount: 50-90% off retail price.
